Idea: The creative process (winding, messy, unexpected) is just as valuable as the output (inspiring!)

What: A six-day backcountry rafting trip for artists to discover wild inspiration.

As artists we must meander our way through obstacles, but an intrinsic piece of the creative process is embracing and trusting the flow. On this 6-day rafting trip, we learn how to steer ourselves towards an artistic output and how to trust ourselves and our community to inspire and drive us forward. On a raft and sandy beach camps in the wilderness, we will rekindle wild creativity in all of us through place-based art-making workshops, creativity exercises, and collaborative creation.

Travel: We will handle transport to and from the Boise Airport.

Accommodation: Hotel stay in Salmon, ID is included on the first night. For the rest of the trip, we will camp on sandy beaches in the Frank Church Wilderness. All camping supplies are included.

Workshops: A rich variety of art-making and creativity unlocking workshops will be held on the river. This includes place-based art making, discovering your artistic style, collaborating with other artists, & more. We play with a variety of mediums and techniques from the workshops can be applied to any creative practice.

Activities: On the river is challenge by choice! We will encounter up to class IV rapids, but also have days of calm relaxing floating. You will have the opportunity to sit back and relax on guided rafts, paddle, swim, hike, and play camp games.
